Senator John Kennedy Exposes Elon Musk’s Findings on USAID

In a recent speech, Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana has stirred significant controversy by defending Elon Musk’s work at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and revealing findings about the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Kennedy highlighted a series of discoveries that he believes should astonish the American public and unveil how taxpayer funds are being utilized.

Shocking Findings by Musk on USAID

Kennedy listed several key points that Musk uncovered during his audit of USAID, which operates with a budget of approximately $40 billion and employs around 10,000 staff members. Some of the most notable findings include:

  • Funding to Conflict Countries: USAID has been sending money to Afghanistan, Yemen, and Syria.
  • Questionable Projects: Funds have been allocated to support electric vehicles in Vietnam and a transgender clinic in India.
  • Investments in Diversity: USAID awarded $1.5 million to a group in Serbia to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
  • Support for Radical Organizations: It was revealed that $164 million was used to support radical organizations worldwide, with $122 million going to groups linked to terrorist organizations, including funds that reached Hamas-controlled Gaza.
  • Spending on Cultural Programs: $20 million was allocated to produce a new «Sesame Street» program in Iraq, and $4.5 million to combat misinformation in Kazakhstan.
  • Gender Education: USAID spent $7.9 million on a project in Sri Lanka to teach journalists to avoid binary gender language.
  • Promotion of LGBT Rights: $1.5 million was dedicated to advocating for LGBT rights in Jamaica, along with another $3.9 million for similar causes in Macedonia.

Kennedy expressed his astonishment at these findings and suggested that Musk should receive a medal for his work rather than being criticized for his discoveries. «I could go on all night, and many of my colleagues are upset. They are really angry with Mr. Musk. Heck, I think we should give him a medal,» Kennedy stated during his speech.

Reactions and Context

Kennedy’s defense of Musk and his work at DOGE has resonated on social media, where many users have expressed their support. However, it has also drawn criticism from Democrats, who argue that these revelations are part of a broader effort to dismantle USAID and its international aid programs, which have been crucial in combating hunger and poverty worldwide.

Kennedy concluded his speech by challenging his colleagues in Congress to address these issues and to consider transparency in public spending, emphasizing that «we cannot continue at this pace.»
